Trekstock are running their Big Urban Trek and I'm walking it...

When I went to my first oncology meeting I asked Dr Eyre if I could run a half marathon while undergoing chemo. I think we can guess what his answer was: "probably not."

Whilst I haven't given up on my marathon running dreams, I've compromised. I've decided to walk 10 miles in May for Trekstock, an amazing charity that helps young adults who have been stopped in their tracks by cancer. They deliver practical and social support programmes tailored to the needs of young adults, to give them a better chance of living well through and beyond cancer.

As a young adult with cancer I have felt so supported by this charity. They have really shown me the light in this gloomy tunnel. They've kitted me out with heaps of yoga and exercise videos that have motivated me to stay fit during my treatment and they support your mental health with a free years subscription to headspace. To be honest, I haven't even done a Trekstock meet up yet and I'm already raving about them!!
